He's coming back... and this time Michael Glasgow is bringing us our own music! Michael is busy working on "Anthornis" an original composition in honor of this annual event.
The Anthornis event will be on Saturday ending with a mid-afternoon public concert. There will also be a reading session of advanced handbell music the night before. You can attend either events, or both...as a full choir or as individual 'orphan' ringers, or as a listener. Invite your friends and neighbors. More details will follow.

Preliminary Timetable:
Friday 7:00-9:00 Reading Session
Sight-read more difficult music, in addition to learning some tips and tricks on ringing techniques.

Saturday:
8:30-10:30 Massed rehearsal
10:30-11:00 Solo choir rehearsals
11:00-1:00 Massed rehearsal
1:00-1:40 Lunch
2:00-3:00 Concert

Come as a complete ensemble, with the Anthornis Repertoire well prepared. Bring your own bells, chimes, tables, and other appropriate equipment.

Or, come as an individual ringer [affectionately referred to as an “orphan”]. It is crucial that you register and contact the registrar by January 4th to obtain your ringing position assignment. See the appropriate spot on the registration form. Some ensembles may have openings in their group that you can fit into, or an entire ensemble will be formed of orphan ringers, with ringing equipment provided.

This event is Sponsored by AGEHR and therefore is reserved for AGEHR members only, which also includes ringers from organizations who are AGEHR members.

Registration deadline: January 15, 2010.

Upon receipt of your registration, a PDF and sound file will be emailed to you of the unpublished original "Anthornis", by Michael Glasgow, which will be premiered at the Anthornis 2010 event. Those participating in this 2010 event have Glasgow's permission to make enough copies for their participants only, for this event only.
Rehearsal notes will also be emailed to each participating group.
