This event is open to UW-SP music majors, and current handbell directors and those striving-to-be directors.

Sandy Eithun will lead a handbell reading session Friday night, the 22nd, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The music will be filled with ringing techniques to experience the diversity of our instrument.

John Behnke will lead the Director's Seminar on Saturday the 23rd from 9:00 to 3:00 with the focus on "Refining Ringing".

In a hands-on session we will cover maximizing bell techniques, rehearsal and performance tips, and visual choreography, which will include tips on the following:

1. How to Choose Repertoire for your choir.
2. Rehearsal Techniques to Make the Repertoire Ready for Performance.
3. Critical Listening for the Directors and Ringers.
4. And much more.

The registration cost includes the price of 3 pieces of music that Dr. Behnke will be using throughout the Seminar and the final "mini-concert", which will encapsulate all that was taught that day.

You can sign up for both sessions or either one individually. If you're staying over Friday night, a list of nearby hotels is listed in the brochure. You will need to make your own lodging reservations.
